Physical Education Bill
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE
ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. The state of Virginia require a Physical education class for students class grades k-12, unless the student is medically banned from physical activity.
SECTION 2. Medically Banned-A person who is medically prohibited from physical activity due to life threatening factors.
SECTION 3. Virginia Board of Education
SECTION 4. September 1, 2012
SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this new policy shall hereby be declared null and void.

A Bill to Give Illegal Immigrants an Opportunity to Gain Citizenship

Being enacted by the student congress here assembled that:

Article 1-
Illegal immigrants should be required to wait for 10 years to apply for U.S citizenship, be it that they are not convicted of any crimes.

Article 2-
Citizenship is defined as the state of being vested with the rights, privileges, and duties of a citizen. Illegal immigrants- are defined as a foreigner who has entered or resides in a country unlawfully or without the country's authorization. Crimes- are defined as an action or an instance of negligence that is deemed injurious to the public welfare or morals or to the interests of the state and that is legally prohibited.

Article 3-
US Immigration & Customs Enforcement shall implement this law.

Article 4-
This law will go in to effect on January 1, 2012

Article 5-
All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A bill to change the time line for receiving unemployment checks
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Article 1: The timeline for receiving unemployment checks will be shortened from 26 weeks 13 weeks except for those with extenuating circumstances.
Article 2: Extenuating circumstances are defined as being a single parent with a child, or children younger than the age of 16, or any physical or mental handicaps inhibiting their daily lives.
Article 3: The Virginia Employment Commission will oversee the enforcement of this bill.
Article 4: This bill is to be taken into effect as of January 1, 2012.
Article 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are here by declared null and void.

A bill to extend the use of Physical Education in the Virginia Public schools.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Article 1. Physical Education will be increased from 2 credits to 3 credits in order to graduate.
Article 2. Physical Education can be described as the teaching of sports, exercise and hygiene.
Article 3. The Department of Education shall oversee the implementation of this bill.
Article 4. This bill shall take effect in August of 2011.

A Bill to Increase Firearm Safety

Be it enacted by Congress here today that:

Article 1: Firearms can only be bought from government licensed distributors in a government-run store created for the purposes of sale of firearms. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms will be in charge of distributing licenses, selling firearms, and keeping track of all citizens who buy firearms.

Article 2: Firearms are defined as a weapon from which a shot is discharged by gunpowder, including but not limited to handguns, shotguns, and rifles.

Article 3: This bill will be overseen by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Article 4: This bill will go into effect 30 days after its passage.

Article 5: All laws in conflict with bill will hereby be declared null and void.

A Resolution to Establish Equality in the US Workforce


1. Whereas, women in the United States currently earn about seventy seven cents to every male dollar;

2. Whereas, Article VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender in the American workforce;

3. Whereas, the Bennett Amendment to the aforementioned article allows for gender discrimination in certain circumstances;

4. Be it resolved, that Article VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 be amended to prohibit any and all sexual discrimination in the United States workforce.

SECTION 1: The U.S. Federal government hereby raises the tariffs of all manufactured goods imported from overseas to the United States by 1%.

SECTION 2: Tariffs shall be defined as taxes on imports to the United States.

Section 1: The Virginia public school system shall allow students the option of substituting community service hours for their physical education class, and shall be awarded an equal amount of academic credit.
Section 2: Community service hours shall be defined by its legal definition of services volunteered by individuals to benefit a community or its institutions. The amount of hours required shall be equal to the amount of hours a student would usually spend in physical education class. Physical education class shall be defined as any school course that serves as a physical education credit on the student's final transcript. An equal amount of academic credit shall imply that complete community service hours will serve to fulfill the physical education graduation requirement.
Section 3: The Virginia Department of Education shall oversee the implementation of this bill.
Section 4: This bill shall be enacted at the beginning of the next coming school year.
Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Decrease Unemployment Benefits
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT…
Article 1:The allotted time to receive unemployment benefits shall be decreased to a standard twenty (20) weeks in all states for those who qualify for the benefits and that the time for extended benefits be reduced to ten (10) weeks.
Article 2: The average standard of weeks to receive unemployment benefits, namely a degree of monetary compensation after job loss, is 26 weeks. This time will be cut down to 20 weeks, with the same unemployment benefits. The average standard number of weeks where a person is available upon application and approval to receive extended unemployment benefits is 13 weeks. This time will be cut down to 10 weeks in order to relieve the outgoing monies from states to help solve the economic distress.
Article 3: This will be enforced by the United States Department of Labor.
Article 4: This will be enacted immediately to all citizens who currently do not have unemployment benefits or who are waiting for their claims to be approved, but will not affect current citizen and their unemployment benefits.
Article 5: All laws in conflict with this bill are hereby declared null and void.

SECTION 2. Civilian Owned bullets are defined as all bullets purchased by the civilians

A bill to regulate unemployment checks nationally
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section 1: The United States Federal Government will set a standard for distributing unemployment that must be followed by all states.
Section 2: Unemployment is defined as monetary payments obtained by individuals who are not currently employed and who meet the unemployment eligibility.
Section 3: The United States Department of Labor will set the standards that an individual must meet in order to collect unemployment. The State treasuries will provide the money to the individuals.
Section 4: This law will take effect within six months of passage.

A bill to regulate possession and availability of guns.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. The only guns for available for public purchase will be handguns pre-approved by the overseeing committee of the enforcement of this bill. Also, hunting will be regulated by pre-determined land allotments on which will be establishments for renting guns. These guns will be rented only for a specific time on the hunting grounds, and will be returned upon completion of hunting excursion. All other gun ownership will be illegal with a first offense carrying a minimum of 10 years in prison, a second offense a 25 year minimum, and a third offense carrying a life sentence.

SECTION 2. All specific definitions of what a handgun, hunting ground, and illegal gun is will be discussed and clearly outlined by the overseeing committee of the enforcement of this bill.

SECTION 3. The Department of Justice will oversee the enforcement of this bill.

SECTION 4. This bill shall take effect on January first of the next calendar year upon the approval of this bill.

SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A bill to exempt student athletes

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. Student athletes may be exempted from physical education courses.

SECTION 2. Student athletes are defined as those students who participate in interscholastic sports or certified competitive clubs/teams.
SECTION 3. Competitive organizations include AAU, Junior Olympic, and other sports clubs which require a tryout.

SECTION 3. The Department of Education will oversee the enforcement of this bill.

SECTION 4. This bill shall take effect at the start of the 2012-2013 school year.

A Bill to Increase the Physical Fitness of the Children
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. All public schools in Virginia are required to have every child attend physical education classes until the end of their sophomore year. Afterwards, every child that is considered obese by a medical professional must attend a physical education class every year that they attend a Virginia school. All other students are not required to take the course after the end of their sophomore year, but if they so wish to, they must pay $50 to take the class.
SECTION 2. Obese is defined as having a body weight more than 20 percent greater than recommended for the relevant height and thus at risk from several serious illnesses, including diabetes and heart disease. Physical Education is defined as gymnastics, athletics, team sports, and other forms of physical exercise taught to children in school.
SECTION 3. This bill will be overseen by the Virginia Department of Education.
SECTION 4. This law will take effect within six months of passage.
SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

Article I: The United States Federal government shall hereby create a
temporary economic stimulus plan for the purpose of introducing incentive for
retirement to “baby boomers”, in order to supply their jobs to the younger
generation workforce;

Article II: A “baby boomer” is defined as a person born between the years 1941 and 1950;

Article II: This proposed stimulus would be valued at 19 billion dollars per year with the
intent to supply monetary benefits for baby boomers after they exit the
workforce;

Article III:
This plan shall be implemented 6 months beyond its passage and last until the
year 2020;

Article IV: The Department of the Treasury and the Social Security
administration shall both oversee this program;

Section 1: This legislation will require that all nations reduce their supply of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) by 50%.
Section 2: ICBMs are defined as any ballistic missile with range over 3,500 miles.
Section 3: This legislation will be monitored and enforced by the United Nations Security Council. Any nation that does not comply will have economic sanctions imposed upon it.
