A Bill to bailout the bank


BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this bill is to stimulate the economy by buying bank stock.
SECTION 2. Stimulate means to encourage an action.
SECTION 3. The United States Treasury Department will oversee the enactment of this bill.
SECTION 4. This bill will be implemented immediatly
SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

Children’s Preventive Health Care Bill


Article I: The United States Federal Government shall hereby declare preventive health

care free for all legal residents under 18 years of age.

Article II: Legal residents are people who are either U.S. citizens or people who are

living in the United States with legal justification.

Article III: This bill shall be implemented on May 1, 2009.

Article IV: This bill shall be enforced by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Article V: All laws in conflict with this bill shall be declared null and void.

A RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY

WHEREAS terrorism threatens the fundamental rights that every human is entitled to,

WHEREAS Gaza has perpetuated terrorism under the leadership of the terrorist organization Hamas,

WHEREAS Israel is one on the greatest allies to the United States of America,

WHEREAS Israel shares our common belief in democracy and the fundamental belief in human rights,

RESOLVED by Congress here assembled that the United States of America seek to promote democracy across the globe, seek to promote human rights across the globe, and condemn Hamas as a dangerous terrorist organization.

A BILL TO INCREASE FUNDING TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE AND TO INACT LEGISLATION FOR BETTER REGULATIONS ON FUEL EFFICANCY STANDARDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section 1:This bill shall put more funding towards raising awareness about the global climate change.

Section 2: More regulations on fuel efficiency standards shall be imposed.

Section 3: This bill is to go into effect June 2009.

Section 4: The department of Transportation shall oversee this bill.

Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill To Offer Support To Israel in the battle at the Gaza strip against the Palestinians

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section 1: The United States government will hereby offer aid and support to Israel in the battle at Gaza strip in order to help the current effort for peace.
Section 2: By offering aid and support we would provide supplies such as weapons and vehicles along with United States troops for the aid of Israeli troops.
Section 3: This mission of support shall be overseen by the United States military.
Section 4: This bill shall take effect immediately upon passage.
Section 5: Any law in conflict with this bill will hereby be declared null and void

A bill to provide universal health care

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Article 1: The United States government will hereby provide universal health care to all productive american citizens as well as disabled individuals.

Article 2: Health care is defined as health care coverage which is ectended to all eligible residents of a government region.

Article 3: This bill will be overseen by Human Services.

Article 4 This bill will be put into effect immediately.

Article 5: All laws in conflict with this bill are declared null and void.

A Bill to Implement the Universal Health Care System

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS ASSEMBLED THAT:



SECTION 1: The United States government will implement a health care system that will cover all of its citizens.

SECTION 2: This universal healthcare system will include coverage of doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, mental health services, nursing home care, rehab, home care, eye care and dental care. This system will be funded and executed through individual state governments.

SECTION 3: The Department of Health and Human Services will oversee the enforcement of this bill.

SECTION 4: This bill shall take effect January 1st, 2012. Beginning on January 1st, 2011, state governments will begin collecting the funds to be dispersed to the healthcare providers.

SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Resolution to Reorganize the Environmental Protection Agency

Whereas: The Environment Protection Agency has not taken significant steps to assist with environmental issues, and

Whereas: This lack of efficiency has wasted tax dollars and not served its purpose; and

Whereas: This lack of action has fueled a public outcry for change.

Therefore, be it resolved by this Student Congress here assembled that the EPA be reorganized to better meet the needs of the global community.

A Bill to Reform State University Funding

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section 1: The state of Virginia shall reform its state university funding by making 15% of the allotted money performance based.

Section 2: Currently all state universities receive funding from the government and/or through private donation. This legislation will give more money to schools with higher academic rates, low drop-out rates, etc., in addition to the set amount.

Section 3: The Virginia Department of Education shall oversee this change.

Section 4: This bill shall take effect January 1, 2011.

Section 5: All laws in conflict with this bill shall be declared null and void.

A Bill to Provide an Incentive for State Governments to use Hybrid Automobiles

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: The federal government shall provide either an education OR infastructure grant to serve as an incentive for states to phase in usage of hybrid cars for state government automobiles.

SECTION 2: a.) Hybrid automobile designs use smaller combustion engines as electric generators to produce greater range per unit fuel than directly powering the wheels with an engine would, and (proportionally) less fuel emissions (CO2) than a conventional (combustion engine) vehicle of similar size and capacity. Energy otherwise wasted in stopping is converted to electricity and stored in batteries which are then used to drive the small electric motors. Torque from these motors is very quickly supplied complementing power from the combustion engine. Fixed cylinder sizes can thus be designed more efficiently.

SECTION 3: The U.S. Department of Transportation will oversee this incentive program.

SECTION 4: This incentive program will begin in March 5, 2010.

SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A BILL TO ESTABLISH A LIMIT ON OIL CONSUMPTIONIN ORDER TO SLOW GLOBAL WARMING PROCESS

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Article I: The United States will hereby establish a limit of three billion barrels of oil per year for consumption as to slow the process of global warming.

Article II: Global Warming is defined as the increase in temperature of the surface of the earth due to increased amounts of carbon dioxide (produced by the burning of fossil fuels) that lead to the trapping of more heat from the sun in the earth's atmosphere. The United States currently consumes almost 8 billion barrels of oil a year.

Article III: This bill shall be implemented May 7, 2009.

Article IV: The United States Department of Energy (DOE) will be responsible for the enforcement of this bill.

Article V: All laws in conflict with this bill will hereby be declared null and void.

A Resolution for the Efficient Usage of US Funding

Whereas: Wells Fargo announced recently of a planned four-day business junket for executives to Las Vegas,
Whereas: Banking businesses receiving federal bailout funding should undertake certain initiatives to show proper usage of American taxpayer funding,
Whereas: The public image of a banking company that is given federal funding is important for the boosting morale for the American public with concerns to the US economy.
Therefore be it Resolved: That the United States Federal Governement monitor and document all usages of the bailout funding given to banking companies.
